Aida Aslanova, an employee of the Department of International and Public Relations of the Institute of Geography named after Academician H.A. Aliyev of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a patrol officer of the Azerbaijani Wikipedia, took part in the work of “Wikimedia of the States of Central and Eastern Europe” (Wikimedia CEE Meeting 2023, WMCEE).

The conference, which is held every year as an annual report on Wikimedia projects in Central and Eastern Europe, was attended by 160 representatives of foreign countries - Wikipedia users, representatives of the Wikimedia Foundation, stewards, etc., and this time it was held in Georgia, at Tbilisi State University.

During the 3-day conference, A. Aslanova took part in presentations and trainings conducted on various projects aimed at improving knowledge of Wikipedia. The institute's staff member established connections with members of various user groups, participated in discussions about plans for an Azerbaijani-language Wikipedia, and exchanged ideas about international conferences to be held in Azerbaijan in the future.
