The authors have developed a method for recovering instant images of an underwater object distorted by surface waves. This method consists of two independent parts - algorithms that determine the instantaneous relief of a wavy sea surface based on the coordinates and dimensions of the solar (or laser) brightness and algorithms for recovering an instantaneous image of an underwater object distorted by surface waves. The effectiveness of the method is confirmed by mathematical modeling and experiments in the pool. Using this method, you can also determine the depth at which the parallel object is located by restoring the shape of an unknown object.
