As previously reported, GIS workshop was held in the IG. It was conducted with prof. Ali Akbar Rasuli. On october 9, a lesson was held with Dr. Yanis Gigoza and Yashar Nasibov.

The purpose of the workshop is to implement Decree 448 of President I.Aliyev of December 28, 2018, regarding the rules for the formation and integration of spatial knowledge of the country.

Dr. Yanis Gigoz made a presentation on “WebGIS” and the concept of spatial information infrastructure. 

Participants were also informed about the Earth observation team. During the workshop, storage, visualization and uploading of GIS data were practically implemented through Geoservice.
