The scientific secretary of the Azerbaijan Geographical Society, D.Sc. in geography Mirnukh Ismayilov participated in the opening ceremony of the Project “Preparation of students in geography for the IGU. The project manager Yashar Seydaliyev, who spoke at the event, informed the participants. He noted that this olympiad is a high-level competition among high classes schoolchildren in geography and is held every August.

Persons aged 16-19 who have become the best in the National Olympiad will participate in this competition.

AGS representative M. Ismayilov underlined the importance of this project for geography and its role in increasing the interest of youth in geography. AGS welcomes such events and the president of the society, acad. R.Mammadov support the diligent youth.
