June 25, 2019 employees of the Institute of Geography – leading researcher of the dept. of Landscape Kerimova Elina and Akhmedova Jamila, a researcher at the dept. of Climate and agroclimatology, took part in the  IV Conference for schoolchildren of Minor Academy in the school 238 of Baku. 

The aim of the conference was to familiarize the younger generation with current scientific problems, the formation of skills for conducting research, the  awakening of interest in science among students.

During the conference, schoolchildren made presentations on 10 fields of science (literature, geography, physics, chemistry etc.). Kerimova E.D. and D.Akhmedova were on the jury in the section of geography. All reports were prepared by students at a good level and met with interest from the jury.
