The 1st of March, the Institute of Geography held a meeting on the theme “Safety of children is our responsibility”.

Chairman of the Commission for Emergency Situations of the Institute, doc. Maharram Hasanov, noted the importance of the International Day of Civil Defense dedicated to the safety of children.

He drew attention to such violations of the rules as uncontrollable devices, their use by children, overloading power lines, fires in the forest left without attention and other similar actions that can cause a fire, explosion, poisoning.

The head of the Civil Defense dept., Namazali Mustafayev, notedthat the main purpose of this day is to inform the public about natural and technical accidents, explosions and fire protection, industrial and transport accidents.

He answered questions from participants in the meeting.
