The Day of Remembrance of the national leader Heydar Aliyev was celebrated at the Institute of Geography named after academician H.Aliyev of the MSE AR

The Director General of the Institute, Professor Zakir Eminov noted that the national leader Heydar Aliyev, who dedicated his life to the struggle for the revival, progress, independent statehood and national unity of the Azerbaijani people, will always be remembered as a historical figure of the Azerbaijani people. The years he led Azerbaijan were remembered as the period of Azerbaijan's revival. In general, his historical services to the Azerbaijani people and state cover all stages of his activity. In general, the path of development and prosperity that began in 1969 became the basis for the future progress of Azerbaijan. The creation of a democratic, legal state in Azerbaijan based on international norms, the preservation of national, spiritual and moral values, the adoption of the first National Constitution, the formation of a civil society - these are the merits of Heydar Aliyev.

The years of the national leader's leadership are remembered not only as a period of economic growth and development in all spheres of the economy, but also as years of unprecedented progress in science, education and culture. In 1969-1982, radical reforms were carried out in all spheres of our life. Due to their scale, these works constitute the most complete page in the history of the construction of Azerbaijan. The policy laid down by the national leader Heydar Aliyev is successfully continued today by President Ilham Aliyev.

The chairman of the trade union Kamran Ramazanli, head of the department Abil Akhverdiyev, chief of the civil defense headquarters Namazali Mustafayev, head of the personnel department Rasul Ismailov and others who spoke at the event shared their thoughts and memories on the genius of Heydar Aliyev with the meeting participants.
