A meeting of the Academic Council of the Institute of Geography named after academician H. Aliyev was held.

The General Director of the Institute, Professor Zakir Eminov, introduced the participants to the issues to be considered. Doctor of Physics Jamal Huseynov made a presentation on his monograph “Climate of Azerbaijan: Air Temperature Regime,” which he prepared for publication. After discussion, a positive conclusion was given on the publication of the monograph with a change in title.

According to the memorandum of scientific cooperation signed between the Institute of Geography and the Department of Geography of the University of Giessen (Germany), it was decided to send a junior researcher from the Department of Demography and Population Geography, Beyimkhanim Huseynova, to the University of Giessen for a period of 3 months - from April 15 to July 12, for GIS practice -technology.

Further, anniversaries of outstanding geographers and other issues were discussed for this year.
