Aida Aslanova, head of the Wikipedia group of the Institute of Geography. acad. H. Aliyev of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, represented Azerbaijan at the international conference "Wikimania", held in Singapore as part of a delegation of 4 people.

The main goal of the annual international Wikimania conference is to unite Wikipedians and provide them with the opportunity to receive information about each other's future plans on Wikipedia.

During the conference, our representatives took part in the training of more than 10 Wikimedia projects, exchanged ideas, and presented the idea of a new project at a meeting of Turkic-speaking countries. The leader of the group representing our country in national costume took a memorable photo with Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales.

It should be noted that A. Aslanova participated as a coach in the summer camp for young wikipedists, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan and a group of users of Azerbaijani wikipedists working in the Azerbaijani Wikipedia. In the 4-day camp of the Lankaran Olympic Sports Complex, young people learned about Wikipedia, Wikidata, Wikibar, etc. through trainings and seminars on various Wikimedia projects, acquired knowledge on topics.

At the closing ceremony, the organizers of the event presented A. Aslanova with a certificate and thanked her for her work in organizing the camp.
