In a conversation with APA, Head of the Department of Hydrometeorology of the Caspian Sea of the Institute of Geography named after academician H. Aliyev, D.Sc. in geography Said Safarov explained why it was raining heavily in some parts of Baku, while in other parts the weather was mild, dry and sunny.
The scientist said that this natural phenomenon is due to the small horizontal dimensions of some cumulonimbus clouds: “These are rain clouds associated with convection in the atmosphere.
