Rovshan Kerimov, Leading Researcher of the Department of Demography and Population Geography of the Institute of Geography named after Academician H.Aliyev of the Ministry of Science and Education, took part in the meeting of the consortium on the project “Linking stories and archives on the problem of migrants: mixed images for Europe and the Mediterranean” (ITHACA) financed under the program Horizon 2020 of the European Commission.

The meeting, held in Paris, France, was organized jointly by the Sorbonne University and the National Center for Scientific Research of France (CNRS), one of the oldest institutions of higher education in Europe, and partner organizations of the respective project consortium. The Italian University of Modena and Recconel Emilia is the coordinator of the project, and Rovshan Karimov is the coordinator of the Institute of Geography. At the meeting, held in Paris, the issues of forming a database of the ITHACA digital platform on migration, the difficulties arising in this regard, technical and financial aspects of the project implementation, activities to be carried out jointly by partner organizations this year and other issues were considered.
