The head of the Pirguli Geographical Research Station of the Institute of Geography named after academician H.A. Aliyev of ANAS, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Chingiz Gyulaliev took part in the International Agricultural Congress AGRO, held in Ganja.
The scientist is a co-author of the article "The possibility of using spectral reflectivity in the study of soils", which determines the properties of dependence on humus, granulometric composition, salinity and carbonate content of soils that affect the intensity of soil light reflection in the range of electromagnetic waves (450-750 nm). As a result, the possibility of using the obtained data when refining the descriptions of soil properties obtained from satellite images.
Scientific meetings organized within the framework of the event were devoted to the promotion of the crop rotation system in accordance with the geographical distribution of soils in the zoning of plants, scientific work carried out using laboratory equipment, etc.
Discussions and exchange of views took place.
In the future, it was decided to work together with employees of specialized enterprises in the field of soil geography.
