Senior Research of the Department of Landscape Research and Landscape Planning Ph.D. Shahnaz Amanova took part in the event held in Lankaran on the occasion of January 11 - the World Day of Reserves and National Parks.

At the event, organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, it was said that the Hirkan Park, which received the status of a national park in 2004, will be included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, and the documents have already been prepared and submitted to UNESCO. It is expected that the Hirkan National Park will be included in the World Heritage List at this year's summit in Kazan.

After the event, the participants visited the Hirkan National Park, the Khanbulanchay reservoir and the Lankaran Historical and Ethnographic Museum.
