Director of the Institute of Geography named after academician H.A. Aliyev of ANAS, academician Ramiz Mammadov clarified the ice cover of the Caspian Sea coast in the Gilgilchay region of the Shabran region.

The academician explained this by a drop in temperature under 10 degrees, since the Caspian Sea is relatively shallow. He reported that the number of extreme cases, as well as the number of repetitions in frequency and range, will increase.

Therefore, people, especially those living in the coastal zone, must be prepared for this.
