The newspaper “Respublika” dated August 9 published an appeal by the head of the department of the Institute of Geography PhD in geography Habil Akhverdiyev to President of the Republic Ilham Aliyev on behalf of the staff of the Institute.

The article says that scientists-geographers, as well as the whole team, have always supported the patriotic ideas and principles of the resident in the formation of the modern Azerbaijan Republic on the basis of national-democratic principles.

Azerbaijani geographers, inspired by the invaluable merits of the head of the country, prepared and published a special monograph covering the entire geography of the Turkic World. The monograph plays an invaluable role in the recognition of the national genetic unity of the entire Turkic world.

The letter says that the staff of the institute supports the timely activities of the President to prevent the spread of the global pandemic in Azerbaijan, and also supports all steps taken to put an end to the fanatical ideas of our historical enemy over the territory of Azerbaijan.
