The employees of the Institute of Geography named after acad. H.Aliyev of ANAS –PhDs Zaur Imrani, Doc. Elina Kerimova, Natavan Jafarova and junior researcher Nofel Artunov, headed by the academician Ramiz Mammadov took part in the International Conference on the “Potential of Geoparks in the South Caucasus transboarder cooperation” from 18 to 22 july . 

 The event, organized by the German University of Giessen Justin Liebig, aimed to unleash the potential of geoparks in the Caucasus. 

N.Jafarova and N.Artunov made successful reports at the conference and answered numerous questions from the participants.

Within the framework of the conference, participants made a tour to the GeorgianNational Park.

A group of student from the University of Giessen with prof. Andreas Ditman visited Azerbaijan in July 22-24. Guests visited historical and architectural museums and reserves.
