On June 30, geographers- activists from Azerbaijan gathered from different cities and villages. These are school teachers and university professors, authors of geography textbooks, experts of the State Examination Center and geographers awaeded honorary titles.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the current state of the subject of geography in Azerbaijani education, clarify some issues and its future.

The desire to bring to the relevant organizations measures to eliminate existing problems was especially noted.
