April 6 at the Institute of Geography named after acad. H. Aliyev of ANAS, a meeting was held with Austrian researchers from Technical University Montan and Graz to study the paleo-geographic conditions of the Miocene period.

Academician Ramiz Mammadov welcomed the participants of the meeting and noted that this event will promote the development of scientific and practical cooperation between the three enterprises.

At a mini conference lasting 4.5 hours, A.Baldermann, invited from Austria with the participation of the Azerbaijani branch of company “LightHouse”, professor Reinhard Sachsenhofer, head of the department of paleogeography, D.Sc. Elena Taghiyeva, Shafag Bayramova, researcher of the institute of Geology and Geophysics and Nazim Abdullayev, employee of BP Caspian Company have made presentations.
