Employees of the institute of Geography named acad. H.A.Aliyev of ANAS carry out research works on some mud volcanoes with the assistance of the Foundation for scientific development under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

   May 19, 26, and also on June 2 and 3, the employees of the department of Landscape and Landscape planning Mirnukh Ismayilov, Saida Zeynalova, Elkhan Mammadbeyov were in field work on the mud volcanoes Bala Bahar, Bahar and dashgil.

   The main purpose of the work was to study the structural and geomorphological structure of the areas where mud volcanoes occur, to investigate the differentiation of geo-systems of mud volcanoes with the help of remote and cosmo-indication methods.

  Materials for geochemical analysis were taken from volcanoes. Measurements have been made on the sections of the craters, the length of the streams, their influence on the surrounding zones has been determined.

Research in this direction continues.
