A meeting of prof. Rza Makhmudov, Head of the Department of Hydrology and Water Resources of the Institute of Geography named after academician H. Aliyev of the MSEAR at Baku State University, was held with the faculty and students of the Faculty of Geography.

The meeting was held on the initiative of the Dean of the Faculty, prof. Magsad Gojamanov. At the event, prof. R. Makhmudov made a substantive report on the topic "Regional Climate Change in Azerbaijan and its Impact on River Water Resources". In his report, the scientist spoke about many years of research in this area, the current state of regional climate change in Azerbaijan, its impact on the country's water resources, fluctuations in the level of the Caspian Sea, as well as the importance of holding COP-29 in Azerbaijan. The participants, who listened to the report with great interest, received comprehensive answers to numerous questions asked of the professor.
