A new publication by the Institute of Geography named after Academician H. Aliyev of the  MSERA entitled “Tourist and Recreational Potential of Karabakh” has been published in Azerbaijani and Russian.

The authors of the monograph are the executive director of the institute, associate professor Zaur Imrani and leading researcher, PhD Kamala Zeynalova.

The monograph is devoted to the study of the tourist and recreational potential of Karabakh (namely, natural and historical-cultural monuments), their distribution on the territory and the search for opportunities for their use. The book examines the problems that arise when using tourist and recreational resources and identifies ways to overcome them.

The monograph, intended for geographers, economists, tourism specialists and a wide audience, will help develop Karabakh, attract tourists to the region, expand tourism infrastructure, and improve the socio-economic situation of the local population.
