A Memorandum of Scientific Cooperation was signed between the Institute of Geography named after academician H. Aliyev of the MSE of AR and the Academy of the MES.

The meeting, which took place at the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, was attended by the Director General of the Institute of Geography, Professor Zakir Eminov, Executive Director, Associate Professor Zaur Imrani, Head of the Department of International and Public Relations Khanim Rzazade, Researcher of the Department of Landscape Science and Landscape Planning Emil Jabrayilov. The event was also attended by the Head of the Academy, Major General Baba Salayev, Deputy Chief Colonel Kyazim Kyazimov and Head of the Research Department, Professor Khanlar Hasanov.

Major General Baba Salayev gave the guests detailed information about the educational institution and said that the Academy is a higher specialized educational institution that trains higher specialized personnel for the Ministry of Emergency Situations and conducts fundamental, theoretical, methodological and applied scientific research in the field of emergency situations. The Academy continues to work towards expanding cooperation with leading higher educational institutions of our republic and foreign countries.

The Major General, who attaches great importance to cooperation with a scientific institution with many years of experience, such as the Institute of Geography, noted that the Academy is equipped with all the necessary equipment, has classrooms, laboratories, special classrooms for rescue, medical training, diving, mountaineering training, as well as electronics and electrical engineering. The institution has four faculties in two specialties, six departments, full-time and part-time departments at the bachelor's level, as well as the organization of training at the master's level. He emphasized that all this opens up broad opportunities for teaching at a high level.

Professor Zakir Eminov, Director of the Institute of Geography, gave information about the scientific institution, the areas of activity of the institute, the research work carried out here in various fields of geography, and spoke about the achievements of the institute, outstanding and famous scientists.

Expressing satisfaction with the cooperation with the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the director emphasized the importance of strong ties between the two institutions and expressed gratitude for the warm welcome.

Later, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the two educational institutions. The document reflects joint activities in the field of conducting research, expanding ties between relevant institutions, preparing various joint projects, joint participation in the field of training scientific personnel, and a number of other issues.

Then, the delegation, headed by Z. Eminov, got acquainted with the material and technical base of the Academy, the educational conditions and the Heydar Aliyev Center.
