Kyle Schwartz, a citizen of U.S. and a PhD student at Edinburgh Napier University, UK, presented his study “Incomplete refuge: social vulnerability and everyday disaster in a Tibetan Refugee Camp in Nepal” at the scientific seminar organizsed by the Institute of Geography at the Ministry of Science and Education of the Azerbaijan Republic on 18th April, 2023. On the example of Tibetan refugees settled in the territory of Nepal, Mr. Schwartz analyzed the difficulties experienced by the refugees and relevant tensions from geopolitical and economic aspects. He expressed his opinions about the problem of Tibetan refugees, with answering to the questions of the seminar .
Kyle Schwartz who studies humanitarian aid problems, was a visiting scolar within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA107 Programme for the past three months. He conducted a research at the "Geography and Environment" department of Khazar University, and also joined the fieldworks of the staff of the Institute of Geography.
