Associate Professor Zaur Imrani, Executive Director of the Institute of Geography named after Academician H. Aliyev of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Emil Jabrayilov, Researcher at the Department of Landscape Science and
Landscape Planning, took part in the training held in secondary schools No. 2 of Agdash and Yevlakh regions. Z.Imrani acted as an expert, E.Jabrailov acted as an instructor at the event organized within the framework of the project "The Importance of 3D Relief Maps and Digital Resources in Teaching Geography", which became the winner of the 6th Grant Competition for Development and Innovation in Education of the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan Republic. PhD Agil Isaev was the head of and another instructor of the project was Yashar Nasibov. The main goal of the project was to provide schools in the Agdash and Yevlakh regions with
3D relief maps and new digital resources, at the same time organizing educational meetings on the benefits of geographic information systems on a virtual school platform, and improving the professionalism of geography teachers in this area. In order to implement the project, geography teachers of 50 secondary schools in Yevlakh region and 59 in Agdash region underwent training in a hybrid format.
During the meetings, pre-prepared 3D relief maps and other digital resources were distributed to schools, as well as theoretical and practical classes were held to improve the knowledge and skills of teachers.
