The Institute of Geography named after Academician H. Aliyev of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan hosted an international scientific-practical conference "Modern problems of geography: integration of science and education."
The event was organized by the Institute of Geography named after Academician H.A.Aliyev, Azerbaijan Geographical Society, Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management, Guba branch of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Bursa Uludag University (Turkey), Kyrghyz Academy of Education, Jizzakh State Pedagogical Institute (Uzbekistan), Tiraspol State University (Moldova), Tabriz University (Iran).
Director General of the Institute of Geography, Doctor of Geography Zakir Eminov welcomed the participants of the event and thanked the guests for accepting the invitation and taking an active part in the event. Introducing the conference program to the participants, the head of the enterprise noted that such issues as climate change, fluctuations in the level of the Caspian Sea, shortage of drinking water resources, the study of tourism and recreational potential, environmental and demographic problems, an in-depth study of the geography of Karabakh plays an important role in the world in recent years and gave the floor to P.h.D. Zaur Imrani.
The guests who spoke at the opening ceremony of the conference noted that interesting reports will be heard and ideas will be exchanged in the direction of problems and solutions of modern geography, the integration of science and education, and wished success to the conference.
After the break, the conference continued its work in various sections.
During the two-day conference, more than 50 reports were heard on topics covering almost all areas of geography, discussions and an exchange of views were held. At the end of the event, the conference participants were awarded certificates.
The main purpose of the conference was to bring together scientists, researchers, public and private sector workers to analyze the factors of improvement and development of higher education institutions, as well as to exchange new research, thoughts and search for solutions to problems.
