At the scientific seminar of the Department of Political and Economic Geography of the Institute of Geography named after Academician G.A. Aliyev of ANAS, a dissertation was discussed on the topic "Research of sustainable development of the regional economic and ecological functional structure of the Republic of Azerbaijan", written by doctoral student Malikmammad Mammadov for the degree of doctor of geographical sciences in specialty 5401.01 "Economic geography".

After discussion, it was decided to transfer the dissertation to the next stage.
