An article “The geopolitical project “Armenia” turns 200 years old: from the map of Israel Ori to the tragic death of diplomat A.S. Griboyedov" was published in the issues 123 and 124 of the International Azerbaijani magazine “IRS” (Heritage), by Shamil Azizov, the head of the department of the Institute of Geography named after academician H. Aliyev.

The article talks about the attempts of Armenians over the centuries to build a state through lies and deception. They say that “Armenologists” do not write the history of Armenia, but “the history of the Armenian people.” Because historically, although the ancient Armenian people existed, their state did not exist. Historical events, conflicts and geopolitical factors created fertile conditions for a small migration of Armenians to the Caucasus in the Middle Ages, but from the time of Peter I their resettlement and the creation of an Armenian state in foreign lands began.

The participation and role of the Russian diplomat A. Griboyedov in the capture of the city of Yerevan, the preparation of the Turkmenchay Treaty, the mass resettlement of Armenians to Western Azerbaijan and the creation of the Armenian state here are revealed. Despite all this, as a result of political intrigues prepared with the participation of Armenians, 34-year-old A. Griboyedov, who had an innate talent as a writer and diplomat, was stoned to death. In other words, A. Griboyedov faces a mortal threat prepared against him and loses his life in exchange for his invaluable services to the Armenian people and the future state of Armenia...

Referring to official state documents and maps of those years, the article with convincing facts and analysis exposes the Armenian lies, the intentions of the Armenians to lay claim to the national and cultural values and historical heritage of different peoples, and to pretend to be an ancient nation.

The continuation of the article will be published in the next issue of the journal.
