Executive Director of the Institute of Geography named after Academician H. Aliyev of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of the Department “Geography of Tourism and RecreationPhD., Assoc. Zaur Imrani and junior researcher at the Department of Demography and Geography of Population Beimkhanim Huseynova met online with Anny Webber, assistant to the head of OICO for business development.
The main purpose of the meeting was to strengthen bilateral relations and select specialists from the Institute of Geography for projects in which the company participates. Annie Webber spoke about the company and gave extensive information to the Institute’s employees about its creation, work, office, which organizations it cooperates with and planned work. The company was founded in Spain in 2003. Over the past decade, the company has specialized in developing programs to support climate change adaptation and mitigation measures. The company's main partners are Dt Global, Landell Mills, SEGES, Stantec, University of Le Mans, etc., and collaborating organizations are the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, the Capital Development Fund and Development Program, the World Bank, the European Commission, etc.
During the bilateral meeting, Z. Imrani provided the other side with extensive information about the specialized units of the Institute of Geography, their work and areas in which the institute can cooperate, and also answered Ms. Webber’s questions.
