A cooperation agreement was signed between the IG and open action society “Azercosmos” for the purpose of aerospace monitoring with the help of modern technologies of forests – natural resources of particular importance for the environment.

According to the Protocol, on the basis of remote observation data, forest boundaries and their density will be defined, map of the distribution of the main tree species will be compiled, etc.

The protocol was signed by academician Ramiz Mammadov, director of the Institute of Geography named after acad. H. Aliyev of ANAS.and Rovshan Rustamov, deputy chairman of “Azercosmos” OJSC.
