December 22, at the meeting of the Dissertational Council of the Institute of Geography under the chairmanship of Academician Ramiz Mammadov, Agil Nadir oglu Isayev defended his dissertation work for the degree of PhD, on speciality 5408.01 – “physical geography and biogeography, soil geography, landscapes geophysics and geochemistry”.

The theme of the thesis is “Geochemical features and landscape-ecological assessment of agrolandscapes of the Shirvan plain”.

By secret ballot, a decision was taken to petition the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to award the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in geography to Agil Isayev.
