Employees of the Institute of Geography Participate in an Event Held as Part of Baku Climate Action Week 2026 2026-09-08 15:00:00 / EVENTS

Employees of the Institute of Geography of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Said Safarov, Doctor of Geographical Sciences and Head of the Laboratory of Geography of the Caspian Sea, and Vusala Rasulzada, Junior Researcher - participated in an event held as part of Baku Climate Action Week 2026 (BCAW 2026).

The event, organized in line with the key objectives of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Regional Climate Week, featured extensive discussions on global and regional challenges posed by climate change, mitigation of the impacts of global warming, climate change adaptation measures, and sustainable development.

The participation of the Institute of Geography’s scientists contributed to discussions on scientific approaches to climate change, the current state of the Caspian Sea, and environmental processes taking place in the region, as well as to the expansion of international cooperation.
