
On 7 July 2026, a scientific seminar dedicated to the discussion of the dissertation of Aida Abbasova, a PhD candidate of the Geopolitics and Economic Geography Laboratory at the Institute of Geography under the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was held. The dissertation is entitled "A Study of Crop Production by Altitudinal Zones in the Ganja–Gazakh Economic Region."
During the seminar, the PhD candidate delivered a comprehensive presentation outlining the main directions of her research, the results obtained, the methodological approaches employed, as well as the scientific and practical significance of the dissertation.
Following the presentation, the Institute's researchers held extensive discussions on the topic, addressed various scientific questions to the PhD candidate, and offered valuable comments and recommendations aimed at further improving the research.
The seminar was conducted in an atmosphere of constructive academic exchange and was met with great interest by the participants.
