
On May 8, a meeting was held at Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University (ADPU) with the leadership of the Institute of Geography of the Ministry of Science and Education.
The meeting was attended by ADPU Rector Professor Jafar Jafarov, Acting Director of the Institute of Geography PhD in Geography, Associate Professor Zaur Imrani, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Associate Professor Eldar Aslanov, Vice-Rector for General Affairs Tural Jalilov, Dean of the Faculty of History and Geography Associate Professor Asif Axundov, Head of the Public Relations and Marketing Department Taleh Mirzayev, Head of the Department of General Geography Professor Mammad Abduyev, Head of the Department of Azerbaijani Geography and Geography Teaching Technology Associate Professor Sona Imanova, as well as Head of the International Cooperation Sector of the Institute of Geography Elnur Safarov, Head of the Education Department PhD in Geography Musayyib Yunusov, Head of the Administrative Department Hamdulla Aliyev, and Head of the Strategic Development, Monitoring and Evaluation Sector Sarxan Jafarov.
During the meeting, the existing scientific and pedagogical cooperation between the Faculty of History and Geography of ADPU and the Institute of Geography was discussed, and the importance of further expanding these relations and developing them at an institutional level through the signing of a memorandum of understanding was emphasized.
Subsequently, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the parties aimed at expanding mutual cooperation. The memorandum includes provisions for joint scientific research, academic staff and student exchange, organization of internship programs, holding of scientific seminars, conferences and symposia, implementation of training and lifelong learning programs, joint initiatives in the field of environmental management, sharing of innovative teaching and management practices, exchange of scientific and methodological knowledge, as well as cooperation in other areas of mutual interest.
