Scientific and Practical Activities Assessed at the Ujar Field Station of the Institute of Geography 2026-05-07 15:12:00 / IMPORTANT EVENTS

An extensive ознакомительная visit was organized to the Ujar Stationary Experimental Base of the Institute of Geography in connection with the scientific research and organizational activities carried out there. The visit was attended by the Director of the Institute of Geography, Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Associate Professor Zaur Imrani, along with a group of the institute’s employees.

During the visit, the head of the station, Rashad Jafarov, provided detailed information about the scientific activities conducted at the stationary experimental base, the current research areas, the work being implemented, and the results achieved.

The institute’s staff also inspected the experimental fields and agricultural plantations, where they assessed the condition of various agricultural crops, soil characteristics, and cultivation processes on-site. Within the framework of the observations, discussions were held on soil and climate conditions, factors affecting productivity, and agrotechnical approaches applied in the cultivated areas.

It was noted that the research carried out at the experimental base is of significant importance for studying the natural and geographical characteristics of the region, the efficient use of land and water resources, as well as the sustainable development of agriculture. The participants of the visit closely familiarized themselves with the work accomplished and exchanged views on opportunities for future scientific and practical activities.
