
A ceremonial event was held at the Geography Institute of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan on February 2, in honor of Youth Day. The event was opened by Zaur Imrani, Acting Director of the Institute and Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Associate Professor. In his speech, he warmly congratulated the institute’s young staff and wished them success in their activities. Zaur Imrani also spoke about the country’s successful youth policy, the opportunities created for the comprehensive development of young people, and emphasized the importance of their active participation in scientific, social, and cultural activities.
Following this, Enver Aliyev, Candidate of Geographical Sciences, highlighted the challenges faced by youth in the modern era and discussed potential solutions, as well as the role of young people in the development of society. He particularly emphasized the importance of active involvement in scientific research and the continuous development of knowledge.
Nazim Gerayli, Chairman of the Young Scientists and Specialists Council of the Institute, also spoke at the event, noting that decrees, orders, and laws adopted for youth development provide a solid foundation for their future achievements. He emphasized the importance of state support for young people’s professional and scientific activities.Several young researchers of the Institute, including c.ü.f.d. Bayimkhanim Huseynova, c.ü.f.d. Turane Huseynova, and Tarlan Yelmarly, delivered speeches congratulating their colleagues and wishing them success in their scientific endeavors. The speakers highlighted that Youth Day is a clear example of the attention and care given to Azerbaijani youth, and noted that state support plays a motivating role in young people’s scientific work.
Within the framework of the event, a group of young researchers who stood out in the Institute’s scientific and social activities were awarded certificates of appreciation. The achievements of the awardees and their contributions to the Institute’s scientific environment were warmly applauded by the participants.
