A meeting was held at the Institute of Geography of the AR MSE, between the Institute's staff and Farhad Mamedov, PhD, Director of the South Caucasus Studies Center (SCSC).

Introducing the guest to the meeting participants, Kamran Ramazanli, Chairman of the Trade union, emphasized his long-standing collaboration with the Institute of Geography. He noted that, as Director of the Center for Strategic Studies, F.Mamedov participated in organizing international scientific and practical conferences held jointly with the Institute of Geography in 2013 and 2014 on the topic "The Threat to Regional Security from Armenia and Adaptation to Global Change," and at other scientific conferences organized by the Institute.

The Director of the Central Committee of the Azerbaijani Communist Party expressed gratitude for the invitation and delivered a report on "The Geopolitical Identity of Azerbaijan." In his speech, the speaker presented information about the structure of geopolitical identity, geographical, religious, historical, cultural, and linguistic subidentities, energy and transport infrastructure, threats and preventive measures during the 44-day war, Azerbaijan's foreign and domestic policies, and more.

It was noted that Azerbaijan's geopolitical identity is defined by its advantageous geographical location, energy policy, historical and cultural heritage, and multi-vector diplomatic approach. This identity creates the conditions for the country to maintain a stable and flexible position in changing global situations.

At the end of his speech, Farhad Mamedov answered in detail the participants’ questions.
