The regular meeting of the Academic Council of the Institute of Geography named after H. Aliyev of the ARMSE was chaired by Acting Director General, Assoc. Prof. Zaur Imrani.

After the chairperson introduced the agenda items, D.Sc. Stara Tarikhazar, Head of the Department of Geomorphology and Natural Risks, presented detailed information about the book "Azerbaijani Geomorphologists in Geographical Science," prepared for publication in honor of the department's 75th anniversary, and showed a video dedicated to the scientific works of eminent geomorphologists. Leading researcher PhD in geography Jeyhun Gasimov presented a report on the activities of the Geomorphology Department.

Then, the department's leading researcher, PhD Samira Abushova, presented a report on her book "Study of the Ecogeomorphological Conditions of the Lesser Caucasus."

The Academic Council decided to submit both books for publication.

The meeting also considered the appointment of reviewers for the atlas for grades 6–11 and the book  "Study of the Spread of Diseases Under the Influence of Ecogeographic Conditions in the Republic of Azerbaijan," and discussed and approved new research topics.
