An educational booklet "Mitigation of Climate Change and Alternative Energy," has been published. It was written by Rovshan Kerimov, a leading researcher at the Institute of Geography H. Aliyev of the AR Ministry of Science and Education, and co-authored by Islam Mustafayev, Director General of the Radiation Institute the AR Ministry of Science and Education, Corresponding Member of ANAS.

The booklet was published as part of the project "Information on Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Measures in Azerbaijan," financed by the Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and implemented by Ruzgar Environmental Public Association.

The booklet consists of 8 chapters and covers issues such as greenhouse gas emissions, the current climate change situation in Azerbaijan, the transition to a green economy and low-carbon technologies, the potential and prospects for the use of alternative energy sources in Azerbaijan, energy efficiency, carbon emissions, as well as the experience of foreign countries in the field of alternative energy.
