According to an agreement reached between the Ministry of Science and Education (MSE) and the prestigious Cambridge University Press (UK), all authors working at scientific and higher education institutions in Azerbaijan have been granted the opportunity to publish an unlimited number of articles in 422 high-impact, hybrid, and "gold" open-access journals published by Cambridge Press over the next three years.
The cost of publishing an article in these open-access journals, indexed in Web of Science and Scopus (Article Processing Fee), amounts to thousands of manats. However, according to the aforementioned agreement, scientists can publish their articles in Cambridge University Press journals without paying this fee. The agreement also grants 140 scientific and higher education institutions in the country the opportunity to use Cambridge Press journals in perpetuity. Newly established institutions will also be included in this list and will be able to publish and use them. It should be noted that this agreement is the first in the country to be concluded using the "Transformative/Read & Publish" method.
Authors wishing to use this service can access the Cambridge Core platform (https://www.cambridge.org/core/journals) and take advantage of its benefits. A list of journals is provided in the appendix.
