The Institute of Geography named after academician H.Aliyev of the AR MSE held an event dedicated to September 27 – the Day of Remembrance.
The meeting was chaired by the chairman of the trade union organization of the institute Kamran Ramazanli, who announced that the event was dedicated to a glorious day in the history of Azerbaijan – the Day of Remembrance. A minute of silence was observed in honor of the bright memory of our brave sons and daughters who died for the Motherland.
Then the participants of the meeting watched a video prepared by the employee of the institute, Halima Ahmedzade, dedicated to the Day of Remembrance.

K. Ramazanli reminded that by the Decree of the President of the Republic, September 27 is annually celebrated in all corners of our country as a sign of respect for the souls of martyrs. He said that Remembrance Day is a symbol of the national unity of the Azerbaijani people, love for the Motherland and the desire for freedom. Every year, events dedicated to the memory of martyrs are held in all regions of the country. Today, bowing before the sacred memory of our martyrs, we bear responsibility for the Victory won at the cost of their lives. Our people will educate future generations in the spirit of loyalty to the Motherland and heroism, following the path they paved.

Speaking at the event, Chief Manager Hamdulla Aliyev, Head of Department PhD Enver Aliyev and PhD Ziyafet Agayev noted that the Day of Remembrance makes us sad and proud. Today, every Azerbaijani bows before the souls of the martyrs and considers it his duty to preserve their legacy.

Thanks to their sacrifice, our Motherland restored its dignity and historical justice.
