Beyimkhanim Huseynova, an employee of the Demography and Population Geography Department of the Institute of Geography named after acad.H.Aliyev of MSEAR, was on an exchange trip to the Federal Republic of Germany from 20.04.2025 to 17.07.2025. As part of the exchange program, B. Huseynova studied and conducted research at the Department of Geography of the Justus Liebig University of Giessen, participated in classes, seminars, scientific meetings and excursions. She took part in lectures of the Giessen Geographical Society (Gießener Geographische Gesellschaft), as well as in the department's seminars on the topics of Climate Change and Development in the Global South (Kliwandel und Entwicklungen im Globalen Süden), Resource Economy and Sustainable Management, Climate, the Impact of Climate Change and others. At the same time, she participated in excursions to various regions of Germany such as The Celts in Upper Essen (Die Kelten in Oberhessen), Organisation for Cooperation in the Development of the Cologne-Bonn Region (Organisationen der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit im Köln-Bonnen Raum), Transnational Geopark Bavaria-Bohemia (Trans-Nationaler Geopark Bayern-Böhmen), and collected data.

In addition, our colleague B. Huseynova presented a report at the conference "Geography of Transnational Geoparks and Adaptation to Climate Change in the South Caucasus" on the topic "Towards the Creation of a Transnational Geopark in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic: Geotourism Potential and Strategic Prospects".

Following the exchange program, our colleague's three-month research activities were highly praised by the staff of the Faculty of Geography.
