From June 15 to July 15, 2025, the Institute of Geography named after Academician Hasan Aliyev (Azerbaijan) and the Justus Liebig University of Giessen (Germany) conducted an internship and research in Germany within the framework of the international project "Geographical education and research innovations: joint adaptation strategies to climate change in Azerbaijan" of the program "Adaptation to climate change and geographical exchange" with the financial support of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

The staff and doctoral students of the Institute of Geography conducted research work and also completed a one-month short-term internship at Justus Libix University.
