A meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Geography, named after Acad. H. Aliyev MSEAR was held under the chairmanship of the acting General Director, Associate Professor Zaur Imrani.

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the national poet Bakhtiyar Vahabzade, an employee of the Institute Halima Ahmadzade spoke about the life and work of the poet. In her speech, she spoke not only about his poetic work, but also about scientific, pedagogical and socio-political activity, scientific, journalistic articles and monographs.

Then the doctor of geographical sciences, Associate Professor, Tarikhazar, reported on the second edition of the monograph “Modern concept of the foundations of physical geography”.

Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Assoc. Nariman Pashayev first informed the participants of the meeting about the monograph "Problems of Planning and Management of the Green and Blue Economics."

The Scientific Council recommended publishing both books.

It was decided to temporarily dismiss Jeyhun Gasimov from the post of acting Head of the Department of Geomorphology in connection with health and temporarily approve the doctor of geographical sciences, associate professor Stara Tarikhazar for this position within 3 months.
