Acting general director of the Institute of Geography named after academician H. Aliyev of the MSEAR, PhD, associate professor Zaur Imrani took part at the scientific conference of young researchers held at the West Caspian University on the topic of "Global Challenges and Prospects" dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the birth of the great leader Heydar Aliyev.

 The main goal of the conference was to discuss global problems of our time at a scientific level: climate change, technological transformation, energy security, migration, development of artificial intelligence, socio-economic inequality.

Speaking at the event, Z. Imrani spoke in detail about the research and cooperation carried out in this area at the Institute of Geography in recent years, and also noted the preparation of scientific publications. In his report, the scientist paid special attention to such issues as sustainable development, environmental safety and digitalization.

In conclusion, the conference participants were presented with certificates. The participants of the event noted that such forums play an important role in the intellectual development of young people, the formation of a research culture, and the promotion of global thinking.
