The Academic Council meeting was held under the chairmanship of the acting general director of the Institute of Geography named after academician H. Aliyev of the MNOAR, PhD, associate professor Zaur Imrani.

After Z. Imrani familiarized the participants with the issues on the agenda, the head of the HR department Rasul Ismailov provided information on strengthening control over the attendance of employees, labor and performance discipline. The head of the institution warned that there would be no concessions for employees who regularly violate discipline.

The issue of holding a Round Table dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Institute of Geography in the cities of Jalilabad and Lankaran in May of this year was discussed. Attention was once again drawn to the importance of presenting articles by researchers who will make presentations at the event.

The issue of publishing the monograph “Climate of Azerbaijan: Atmospheric Precipitation Regime”, co-authored by the head of the department of the National Aviation Academy, prof. Nazim Huseynov and teacher, Ph.D. Jamal Huseynov, was discussed. J. Huseynov and the book reviewer, prof. Asker Mamedov spoke and provided information about the book. Noting the importance of the monograph, the members of the Council recommended its publication.
