A meeting of the teaching staff of the Republican Physics, Mathematics and computer science-oriented lyceum took place with Doctor of Sciences, Professor Rza Mahmudov, head of the Department of Hydrology and Water Resources of the Institute of Geography named after acad. H. Aliyev MSEAR.

At the event, held under the motto "A drop of water travels around the world", schoolchildren gave various presentations and skits dedicated to modern water problems in the world. They were able to clearly convey information in presentations about the formation of water on Earth, its role in the living biosphere and human life, about the anomalous physical and chemical properties of water, about the change in its quantitative and qualitative indicators in the modern era.

Professor Rza Makhmudov made a speech and told the participants about the shortage of fresh water in the modern era, the consequences of global warming and its impact on watera resources, the increase in people's need for water, the protection and preservation of water sources, methods of saving water, etc.
