Azerbaijan, which is preparing to host the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change - COP29, has set urgent tasks for the scientific and educational community of the country in this direction. In this regard, on October 11-12, the 4th international scientific conference "Higher Education in the Regions: Realities and Prospects" dedicated to the "Year of Solidarity for a Green World" was held at the Guba branch of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University (ASPU). The expert-scientist staff of the Institute of Geography, acting as an organizer, also participated in the conference.
Rector of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Professor Jafar Jafarov, Director General of the Institute of Geography, Professor Zakir Eminov, Rector of the Bishkek Music and Pedagogical Institute, Professor Ulanbek Mambetakunov, deputy of the Guba district, Professor Alibala Magerramzade and other guests spoke at the plenary session of the conference. At the end, a commemorative photo was taken, and the conference continued its work in 3 sessions.
