In accordance with the decision of the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated September 29, 2020, the Institute of Geography named after Academician H. Aliyev of the MSE AR, chaired by Director General Professor Zakir Eminov, held the next certification of doctoral students and dissertators studying for a doctor of science and doctor of philosophy.

9 of the certified have a PhD degree and 4 have a doctor of science degree. The members of the commission, consisting of experienced scientists of the institute, reviewed the state of research work carried out by doctoral students and dissertators and recognized these works as satisfactory.
