A round table was organized in the conference hall of the institute after a scientific seminar held within the framework of a memorandum of cooperation concluded between the Institute of Geography named after academician H. Aliyev of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Center for Spatial Analysis of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
At the event, Russian scientists learned about advanced trends and problems emerging in the field of geographical science in the modern era. They also received information about the founders of geographical science in Azerbaijan, leading scientists of the institute, recently published scientific monographs, textbooks and atlases.
On the third day of their stay, a visit to the Gobustan National Historical and Artistic Reserve was organized for the Russian guests. In the museum they examined examples of art, rock paintings of people and animals, scenes of hunting, fighting and dancing, and received interesting information about Boyukdash, Kichikdash, Yazyly-Tepe on Mount Chingirdag, about mounts Shongar and Shikhgaya.
