In order to prepare a scientific substantiation of the activities carried out by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, strengthen their innovativeness and attract the potential of natural and geographical conditions to the economy, the Institute of Geography named after academician H. A. Aliyev published a collection "Modern problems of geography: integration of science and education."

The general editors of the book are the general director of the IG, D. Sc. in geography Zakir Eminov and Ph.D., associate professor. Z. T. Imrani, editor is Ph.D. is Sarkhan Jafarov.

The book notes that the conference held in Baku on November 29-30, 2022 was attended by 150 people from 14 countries (Azerbaijan, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Georgia, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Bangladesh, Australia , Moldova and Yemen) about 150 close participants applied; 102 of the submitted articles were accepted by the scientific jury for presentation at the conference.
